Blue Glue is a brand who takes fashion risks. Not many brands do this, as it sometimes has to be paid for; but we stand for it.

Experimenting new developments is not an easy process, we have faced difficult and costly situations. But the gear is worth it, and moreover, we have seen causes of reject decrease each year. Besides avoiding the already-revealed-problems, we now anticipate potential problems before they occur.

We decided to edit a Newsletter in this regard and upload it on our website. Receiving your comments is a great help, and we fully appreciate constructive comments; furthermore we like to face problems, and solve them fast.

We will not share here the lovely warm words of this Season, but will concentrate on the efforts to be made to improve Blue Glue. So far we have taken measures to avoid each of the problems described for season 2oo7 below:

• Elastic breaking (reported about 5/1000)
This has happened on few styles only, those which were manufactured in the beginning of the season, in April-June 2oo6.
Last year – season 2oo6, elastics inside the minimalist edgings were our main problem, but this has been solved totally .
Problem 100% solved

• Leather-like-ropes breaking (reported about 3/1000)
Occurred on set Ocean Black, rope attaching the shell to the pant.
This happened due to the dyeing of a rope which was no more available in the originally requested color. Dyeing weakened its quality, and we faced breakage.
Measures taken: any modified accessory now goes through Lab quality control after modification.
Before this season, we had implemented a Lab procedure for each purchased item. Each roll of fabric and also each accessory were carefully controlled in our Lab built under this specific purpose. But we failed to check items which would have required a modification internally, after their modification. Now this is taken care of. Any modification leads to a new Lab check, and requires management written approval.

• Stainless steel cable breaking (reported about 3/1000)
Occurred on set Ocean Brun, and on set Abysses, pant side.
Some rolls from the bulk supplied were not as strong as the others.
Measures taken: we usually control highly accessories that we expect to show defects, and had trusted that the quality of cable, once checked, could be out of doubt. (assuming industrial products quality to be constant.) We have learnt from this experience that any accessory, even those manufactured by “out of doubt” companies should be checked at each unit received.

• Shells  falling off  (reported 1 case over 3000 sets sold)
Occured on set Ocean Brun.
Shell is sharp on edges, often as sharp as glass, and although we have outsourced and purchased the strongest thread to sew accessories on, it can still happen that the sharp edges break the thread.
This happened also befor with the beading. So far we have not received complains for season 2oo7.
Measures taken: as we cannot avoid 100% thread breakage from sharp edges, we took initiative to add replacements in small bags connected to hang tags.

• Pompom falling off  (reported 2 cases over 2500 sets sold)
Occurred on set Triangle Pompom black
It can happen that stitching is not strong enough.
Measures taken: all styles which have accessories sewn on that might fall off, will be supplied extra accessories in a small bag connected to the Hang Tags.

• Thread cracking (reported 3 cases over 400 sold)
Occurred on Body Savage
The shells and beading on the straps should have been sewn individually, as straps can be strongly pulled and the thread cannot withstand this extension, even on a group of only 2 accessories length.
Measures taken: each accessory to be sewn individually; thread to be knotted and cut; next accessory to be sewn individually.

As a conclusion:
Over the time, Blue Glue has gained experience in the quality field. We have gradually raised the standard of its Quality Control department, and increased its checking protocols, to improve the quality of its products.
Everyone of the 2oo8 prototype has been checked thoroughly before it was approved for production.
We can guarantee that Blue Glue's quality is excellent while keeping up the thirst for Fashion extremes, and we strongly believe that there will be no further problems other than insignificant. As per our policy of returns and exchange, we repair, exchange or emit a credit note for any reject due to a production problem.
